Any Questions?

It's been a long time since I've done Sunday Scribblings.

This week the theme is Interview.

I invite you to interview me in the comments section.

What are some things you "must" accomplish before this time is over?

And.

How is it you always manage to maintain such a positive outlook on life? Is it something you have taught yourself to do or is it something you've always done?

Looking forward to your response.

By "this time" I guess you mean this life. While there are things that I feel I may want to do or have along the way, I don't feel so attached to them that I 'must' do or have them. I want to experience who I am - my abilities, the possibilities of my life as 'me', am I living fully, using my gifts, expressing my Truth, loving and being loved, connected to my Source? Everything else is taken care of within that.

I've never been a "negative" person, but it doesn't mean I don't have 'negative' thoughts or feelings. I just don't entertain them for long. Believing that everything has a reason or lesson and actually seeing the reason (or looking for it) leads to me not seeing a "negative" as 'negative'. Also being creative by nature - creating is therapeutic. As often as I create things, I am also recreating and transforming myself. Like putting glass into fire and blowing it to make a glass piece - it can't stay one way. I think having a 'positive outlook' doesn't mean you are always positive. It means you are willing to move, change and be transformed. To not be rigid and fixed - to be open to other perspectives.

What's the 'one thing' you would want to photograph if you could and why?

Footnote:
One thing being in inverted commas as it can be-person,building, natural formation, any object in general.

Because they are fascinating to me - the way they look and move. It's something I want to experience in this lifetime.

Good idea for a post. I am brand new here, so:
What is your favorite color?
Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and what is its name?

Elspeth said...

Hello Gel. I currently don't have one favourite colour. I appreciate all. Depending on my mood I will favour one at the time. As I child it was blue. I tended to favour the cooler colours on the spectrum. Until recently I hated pink, but as of Nov 2007 I took a sudden liking to it (although not keen on powdery baby pink).

I have a cat called Jasper and two dogs - Hindi and Pippa.

Where do Hindi and Pippa live? Inside? Outdoors? Fenced in? Do you have to take them out for exercise on a leash? Do you take them to the beach to run? Or just what?

Elspeth said...

They live outdoors (as do most Trini dogs) with their own shelter. They have a large garden, fenced, where they run, etc., so there's no need to take them for walks on a leash. They don't go onto the road. They grew up never having to deal with speeding cars, etc, so I doubt they would be able to handle that kind of environment.

What is your normal bedtime?
When was the last time you had a good cry?

Elspeth said...

No 'normal' time as such. My body winds down around 7 p.m. Since 1999 I've been going to sleep early, average 8 p.m. Nowadays I go to bed anywhere between 8 - 11. I wake up anywhere between 3 - 5.

When people say "good cry" I think they mean a lot of crying. I just cried during yoga. It wasn't 'much' in terms of tears and it wasn't long, but it was moving and releasing, so it was good.
