Trinidad 1982 - If it hadn't been for my mom sticking up for my sister and I to pursue art in secondary school (the principal personally called her in to dissuade us), we wouldn't be as content as we are today. I am a commercial artist (advertising) and my sister teaches art. And we love our jobs. How many people can say that. Bravo mom!

I am one of those in this time where the conditions are known. Sadlyt I was given medication and told to calm down. For me to create anything worth while I have to not take my meds for a few days and detox before my pen and paper makes sense. If only we really could get more people, the important influential, education system building people to think like this. Harmful "calming" drugs may be thrown out for creativity to flourish.
